MW Toyota Shows off with New Service Centre Surface

Flowcrete Asia has recently worked with UMW Toyota to provide the floor at its new Indahpura Car City premises in Kulai, Johor, Malaysia.

At its previous Kulai location UMW Toyota experienced numerous problems with its floor surface such as significant wearing, peeling and delamination.

As a consequence the Toyota distributors were left with little choice but to move to a new premises and this time they knew that they had to get the flooring solution absolutely right to ensure a durable and long lasting surface.

Through this philosophy, UMW Toyota always strives to deliver what the customers value most: quality, durability and reliability and this is also true of it’s flooring, which is why they called on Flowcrete Asia.

In the past, Flowcrete had provided Flowshield PU to other UMW Toyota branches in Malaysia and they had experienced no such problems with their flooring.

As such, Flowcrete Asia was chosen for the project on the back of their previous success in the region. 1,500m² of Flowshield PU was supplied for the service centre and 500m² of Deckshield ED was used in the reception and delivery bays.

The UV resistant sealer Flowseal UV was applied above the Flowshield PU and Deckshield UV line marker was used to demarcate the service bays, traffic signage and bay numbering. The entire surface installation was completed in just one month so as to meet the deadline of the grand opening of the car showroom and service centre.

At its previous Kulai location UMW Toyota’s floor had suffered because of constant exposure to corrosive chemicals as well as heavy foot and wheeled traffic which was damaging the building’s concrete substrate.

Fortunately, the high abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and low maintenance finish of Flowcrete’s systems makes them ideal for the automotive industry.

Since installing their new flooring system UMW Toyota no longer have to worry about their facility looking run down and portraying a poor image to customers.

Previously the condition of the floor had been affecting daily operations in the car service centre, but now the automotive powerhouse has a floor surface that it can rely on.

Flowcrete Asia will be showcasing its Deckshield flooring range on booth 4H459 at Archidex & Eco-B’s 15th international architecture, interior design and building exhibition from June 25-28^th.

The resin flooring specialists will be presenting a talk on this Green Label certified, seamless resin car park system at the show’s green technology and sustainable design focused event Biz@Eco-B.  The speakers will be on from 2pm-3pm on the 25th June and attending architects can gain one CPD point from the talk.
