Flowcrete Supports Singapore Soccer Spectacle

During the final weekend in April, Singapore saw the return of its annual youth football (or soccer) 7s tournament organised by JSSL Singapore. The tournament has grown in popularity over the past few years and 2017 saw it host up to 240 teams from 14 different countries, involving more than 3,000 players from around the world and requiring five venues!
JSSL Singapore International 7s is one of the largest football tournaments in the Southeast Asia region and attracted teams from Perth (Australia), Bangkok (Thailand) and even as far as Lisbon (Portugal) and Fulham (UK).
Flowcrete has been a long-term supporter of the event with this year being no exception, as the resin flooring manufacturer was a gold sponsor alongside brands such as Maybank and Turkish Air.
Singapore Country Manager, Jevyn Lew, and Flowcrete Asia Marketing Manager, Will Facer, were present at the event to support the local and international clubs competing for the Championship trophy.
Also present for the weekend were ex-England International legends, Paul Parker and Emile Heskey who have a combined total of 81 caps for England. Both were heavily involved in the planning and promotion of the event, and presented the trophies to the weekend’s winning teams.
Sporting Lisbon emerged as the champions of the JSSL Singapore International 7’s Professional Academy at the end of the day after defeating Perth Glory in the tournament’s final at the Padang on 1 May. In the regular JSSL International 7’s it was JSSL Elite that took home the trophy.
