Indonesian Car Park Sector

Flowcrete Indonesia has expanded its product offering to cover the car park market sector and has already successfully completed two large-scale car park deck coating projects in Jakarta.

The resin flooring specialist is now able to supply a wide variety of flooring, repair and structural solutions that have been tailored to the specific demands of complex, multi-storey car park environments.

Among Flowcrete Indonesia’s flagship products for the sector is Deckshield ID, a Green Label certified, flexible polyurethane deck coating system. Deckshield ID has been designed to create a colourful, watertight and hard wearing surface for the intermediate decks of multi-storey, basement and other trafficable suspended floors.

30,000 m² of this system was recently installed at the PCPD Tower in Jakarta, an award-winning, Premium Grade A office building that is also the new regional headquarters for the FWD insurance company. The Hong Kong based developer chose Flowcrete due to its impressive track record working on car park projects across Hong Kong.

A sleek Goosewing Grey was used for the parking bays, with Dark Grey chosen for the roadways and crisp white signage applied to clearly mark out the routes and zones. The robust nature of Deckshield ID meant that the coating would maintain its high-end aesthetics despite the very heavy traffic that it would be exposed to on a daily basis.  

Deckshield ID was also utilised at Jakarta’s Menara Astra to provide a durable finish in the car park’s underground entrance and drop off area that would withstand the challenges of regular multi-flow traffic. The epoxy system Deckcoat EP was installed in the lower level parking areas of the car park.

Both Deckshield ID and Deckcoat EP coating systems were not only specified at Menara Astra to protect the car park from regular traffic, but the low VOC, solvent free formulations contributed to the building’s platinum standard Green Building rank.

The newly available products include a variety of waterproofing systems such as the water-based, liquid applied Eucoflex PU 100 and the torch applied bituminous waterproofing membranes Eucoproof 3000 TA and 4000 TA.

The Euclid Chemical repair range also offers an armoury of crack injection systems such as Dural 452 LV, Dural 452 MV, Dural 452 Gel and Dural Aqua-Dam. This variety of products means that there’s a bonding solution for any eventuality, regardless of the concrete’s conditions or the onsite environment.
