Flowcrete Asia has recently hosted a product demonstration day to introduce Increte’s range of decorative concrete solutions to the region’s architects, developers and contractors in the northwestern city of Ipoh in Malaysia, about 2 hours’ drive from the capital, KL.
The event was held at the premises of Flowcrete’s local distributor, Asia Living Stone Sdn Bhd, whose showroom will act as a gallery for the various concrete beautifying products available under the Increte brand.
The day began with a presentation from Flowcrete’s Malaysia Country Manager, Ng Siew Leng, who gave the delegates an in-depth analysis of each product available from the range.
After lunch, the delegates were given product demonstrations hosted by Technical Manager, Chen Wai Soon, to allow them to fully understand the installation processes. First up was Stone-Crete, the cast-in-situ architectural wall system for foundations and retaining walls.
Following this, Texture-Crete, Stone Essence, EZ Expose, Renovate and Stamped Concrete systems were all demonstrated. The Renovate system was a popular discussion point with many of the attendees who were interested in the prospect of bringing old stamped concrete systems back to life.
Flowcrete have already made a stamp (pun intended) on the Asian market by supplying materials to ongoing projects at the new 20th Century Fox indoor theme park at Genting Highlands, Malaysia, where overall approximately 17,500m2 of Increte Stamped Concrete systems have been installed.
The event was attended by approximately 50 industry professionals - some visiting from as far as Indonesia and Taiwan - and with the event held in early February, it was also a great opportunity to meet up with old and new clients before the Chinese New Year holidays.
