located in the prestigious neighbourhood of Perdana Lakeview East, Cyberjaya, Malaysia has opted for Flowcrete Asia’s UV-stable, decorative resin-bound stone carpet system, Rustik UV, to form the pool surround for it’s outdoor swimming area.

Designed by international architecture and engineering firm, Veritas, exclusively for use by Opus residents, the clubhouse boasts a pool, gym, kid's playroom and multi utility hall as well as a sizeable multi use green area and themed playground.

Rustik UV was chosen for the outdoor pool area on account of it’s decorative finish and performance when exposed to the elements.

Rustik UV incorporates colourful natural stones sealed in a clear aliphatic, UV stable polyurethane resin, delivering an attractive floor finish, suitable for both outdoor environments and comfortable for residents to walk on.

Rustik UV has been designed to ensure that walkways and external concourse areas reflect the natural beauty of the outdoors, providing complimentary surfaces for external environments.

As the material had to be installed during the wet season, time was critical throughout the application; as such the polyurethane topcoat has to be installed the same day as the underlying aggregate broadcast.

In total, the installation took just two days to complete.

Rustik UV is ideally suited to outdoor environments subject to heavy foot traffic such as leisure complexes, theme parks, holiday resorts or other public points of interest and comes in a range of decorative and natural stone blends.
