TRX is a premier lifestyle destination in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s Tun Razak Exchange. Featuring over 400 leading retailers, it blends an immersive retail experience with the natural beauty of the 10-acre TRX City Park. For its car park facilities, the building’s owner required a coating solution that was not only attractive and clean, but also durable enough to endure the demands of a busy car park.

Over 85,000 m² of Flowcrete’s Deckshield system was installed to ensure a hard wearing and resilient surface. Deckshield ID is a Green Label certified, low-VOC, solvent-free, flexible polyurethane traffic coating system, ideal for refurbishing existing car parks or new construction projects. On the basement level, slip and chemical-resistant Deckshield LBD was used due to its capability to control the dissipation of moisture vapour to eliminate the problem of rising damp that will cause the coating to peel.

Once the carpark was completed, Flowcrete’s applicator commenced work on the lift lobby. 3,000 m² of Flowcrete’s Mondéco Special, was chosen by the client, who was looking for joint free flooring. Mondéco seamless terrazzo flooring is ideal for airports, railway terminals, shopping centers, hotels, and restaurants, where design, aesthetics, and durability are key.

The installation took nine months to complete, ready for the mall’s opening in November 2023.
