Transforming Heineken’s Factory in Vietnam into a Safer and Hygienic Brewery with Flowfresh MF

In 2016, when the old Carlsberg facility was acquired by the Heineken Group, it underwent significant upgrading works. Fast forward to 2020, the Heineken brewery located in the southern coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, decided to expand its manufacturing facility to supply the growing demands for its beer in Southeast Asia.

For Phase Two of the expansion, almost 4,000m2 of Flowfresh MF was installed at a thickness of 4mm. Flowfresh MF, a polyurethane floor finish, provides a durable, easily cleaned flooring surface with excellent chemical resistance and thermal shock resistance.

Additionally, Flowfresh MF was chosen because it is HACCP International certified - adhering to high standards for food safety procurement, production, and processing.

To further improve hygiene standards and simplify cleanability, 320 linear-metres of Flowfresh Cove was installed in the same area. A cove is used to prevent the buildup of dirt in the corner of the wall. It also makes cleaning easier and provides a design element that gives spaces an attractive, finished look.

The project took about two months to complete, and the result is a striking Shamrock Green matt finish that is hygienic, anti-slip, and is easy cleaning.
