WM Hotel, Hong Kong

The WM Hotel officially opened to the public in 2021 and is located in the scenic district of Sai Kung. The waterfront resort-style hotel has more than 250 rooms and boasts incredible panoramic views of the South China Sea shoreline.

The three-storey hotel provides an idyllic lifestyle and is the perfect respite from busy city life. With retail, wedding and MICE services, the two basement levels of the hotel are designated as car park spaces with over 270 lots to cater to large volumes of hotel guests.

Isocrete K-Screed was used throughout the 12,000 m² basement compound because of its high workability and high strength finish. Isocrete K-Screed was also chosen because its proprietary additives could produce an earlier drying time, resulting in a faster project timescale.

In the basement level one car park, 7500 m² of Deckshield ID, a Green Label certified, low VOC, solvent-free, flexible polyurethane coating system was installed over the Isocrete K-Screed to provide a colourful, watertight, hard-wearing surface. The bright electric blue floor finish was used to differentiate the handicapped parking lots from its surrounding deck coating.

In basement level two, 4000 m² of Deckshield ID was applied together with the EP Primer to provide a safe, attractive, and durable surface for long-term use. When applied together, the result is a watertight, fire and slip resistant deck coating that is resilient against sustained vehicle traffic.
