The Hong Kong Electric Company is one of the longest-established power companies in the world and has a world-class record of providing a highly reliable electricity supply to Hong Kong and Lamma Island.
The client required a hardwearing surface to guard against heavy materials, impacts, chemical spillages, regular forklift truck traffic and industrial conditions in its recently refurbished warehouse facility. 500 m2 of the epoxy resin coating Flowcoat SF41 was used to create a robust floor in the warehouse that would withstand the operational challenges onsite for an extended period of time.
Flowcoat SF41’s wide range of colours also allows customers to incorporate sharp signage and demarcations into the layout of the floor, this was used to create pedestrian, manual handling and forklift truck areas within The Hong Kong Electric Company’s facility.
A scatter of quartz was incorporated into the new flooring system to provide an anti-slip texture, enhancing the safety of the workmen around the facility.
The client was delighted with the end result and that the flooring was completed within the 7-day time limit.
