One Park Shanghai, China

The new high-end residential complex One Park Shanghai, located in the Gubei area of the city, has worked with Flowcrete Asia to create a floor finish in its car park that met the exacting demands of the large and prestigious development.

The project has been devised to meet the highest international levels of quality and has been built with a strict attention to detail and style. The high standard of the ultra modern, 82,000 square metre complex, which consists of 315 apartments and 15 villas, is emphasised by the fact that it includes the only golf course in the city centre, an 18,000 m² rooftop club and a private butler service.

The client wanted to ensure that visitors, residents and customers to One Park Shanghai are guaranteed a luxury experience at all times, including when driving into the site’s 4.5 metre high underground car parking facility.  

To achieve this, 50,000 m² of the low VOC, solvent free, flexible polyurethane car park deck coating system Deckshield ID was applied across the car park’s floor area. This system was chosen thanks to the fact that it would provide an attractive finish that would maintain its aesthetic and functional properties for the long term despite the many challenges inherent to a car parking facility.

Deckshield ID has been designed to provide a colourful, watertight and hard wearing surface for basement and intermediate decks of a car park. Its attractive visual appearance was ideal for One Park Shanghai, as it was consistent with the location’s designer image. All the interior design elements had to meet the strict requirements of One Park Shanghai’s president and designer, who chose the materials used in the project themselves.
