PT. Essence Indonesia, founded in 2008 and located in East Jakarta, is a subsidiary of International Flavors & Fragrances Inc (IFF), a global corporation with headquarters in New York City, and with business facilities across 44 different countries. The Indonesian company’s line of business includes the manufacturing of flavouring extracts, syrups, powders, and related products for the manufacturing of soft drinks. When the production areas needed an upgrade late last year, PT. Tremco CPG Indonesia was called to supply Flowcrete flooring for the specified areas.

As the end products are used for prepared foods, beverages and other food products, the flooring system selected for application must deliver a durable and easy-to-clean coating with the highest possible standards of hygiene. Over 800 m² of Flowfresh ESD MF in Pewter Grey was applied. Flowfresh ESD MF is an antistatic, chemical resistant polyurethane resin floor system. In Food & Beverage manufacturing environments where flammable gases, solvents or dust are present as an ignition source, antistatic flooring is often specified to protect the company’s valuable equipment and employees.

The flooring project was completed in November 2020.
