Fresh Floor Finishes for Multi Purpose Hall
Founded in 1951, SJK (C) Kampung Baru Semenyih Primary School was built by a group of generous and kind-hearted locals to cater to the needs of the residents around the newly developed area in Semenyih. In 1958, due to a surge in the number of students enrolled, the Ministry of Education allocated three additional classrooms to accommodate the increased demand. In 1995, a banquet was held to raise funds for a multipurpose hall housing a stage and eight badminton courts. In 2020, the hall needed a refurbishment as the old flooring had been peeling badly. Tremco CPG Malaysia was contacted to supply the job.
Over 1,300 m2 of Flowseal EPW, a water-based pigmented floor sealer, was used to provide a coloured, semi-gloss finish for the badminton courts. This flooring system delivers a cost-effective solution for areas with medium to light foot traffic. The seamless finish makes it easy for the school to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for the students to study and exercise.
Despite the nationwide lockdown that was in place to curb the spread of COVID-19, the installation was completed within 10 days, much to the delight and appreciation of the school authorities and students.
