In 2013, German company Roeders, a world leader in high tech high speed cutting machines and blow moulds for PET bottles and pewter, opened a new facility in Vietnam. Roeders Vietnam is equipped with the latest machinery and measuring technologies. The company serves companies in Vietnam and South East Asia as well as offering its production expertise to European and American multinational companies in the region. When its manufacturing area needed a refurbishment, the company selected Flowcrete floor finishes for the job.

One of the challenges the applicator faced was having to work with a challenging substrate. Before any installation could be done, the applicator had to grind the surface to remove all imperfections and inconsistencies. Once that was completed, over 4,500m² of Flowfresh MF was applied at a thickness of 4mm. Flowfresh MF is a chemical resistant antimicrobial polyurethane floor finish designed for use in industrial areas subject to medium-duty foot traffic. It exhibits a highly durable and easy clean finish making it ideal for manufacturing areas.

This hard-wearing floor coating was then sealed with Flowseal HTS, a solvent-based high-performance polyurethane floor sealer, which added an additional layer of protection, enhancing durability and abrasion resistance for the heavy duty working environment.

The installation was completed in two weeks, ready for the facility to re-start production.
