Flowcrete Supply Flooring Solutions for Victoria Dockside

The skyline altering Victoria Dockside development consists of 65-storeys, stands at 256 metres tall and is said to mark the new iconic global art and design district in Hong Kong.

The building is comprised of short-stay hotel accommodations, serviced residences and boutique office spaces. For the busy car park, over 30,000 m2 of high performance flooring solutions were supplied by Flowcrete Hong Kong.

For levels B1 and B2 of the car park, Deckshield EP Primer and Deckshield ID were installed thanks to a suitability to the notoriously damp conditions of underground basement car parks. For the lowest level of the basement, 10,000 m2 of the slip resistant Deckshield LBD was used due to the incorporation of a polyurethane-based dissipating moisture barrier within the system.

Alternate colours were used for the parking bays as well as a monochrome chequer-pattern outside the lift lobby area. Deckshield UV Topcoat was used to coat the custom-coloured parking bays to ensure that the high quality surface was maintained and to reduce the likelihood of discoloration over time.

For executive parking bays, 300 m2 of Rustik UV, a system of natural stone encapsulated in a clear epoxy resin was chosen, providing a different aesthetic and air of luxury. Finally, the high performance, chemical resistant resin coating Flowcoat SF41 was installed to withstand vehicle and trolley traffic in the loading bays.

Each flooring system used within the car park was durable and able to withstand the demands inherent in bustling parking areas, whilst being aesthetically pleasing.
