Due to the extensive predicted footfall of the new theme park, the flooring materials chosen had to be extremely durable and provide a reliable surface for many years to come.
As well as durability, the client also wanted a finish that could be coloured to mirror the rest of the theme park’s design elements. Flowcrete Asia recommended the Increte’s Stamped Concrete system from sister-company Euclid Chemical, which is available exclusively throughout Asia Pacific through Flowcrete.
Available in a wide range of colours and textures, Increte Stamped Concrete can offer granite, slate, stone, brick and wood aesthetics to enhance bare concrete surfaces. This phase saw a total of 10,000m2 of the stamped concrete system used in the internal section of the theme park, located inside the Sky Avenue mall & leisure complex.
The application process involves preparing the wet concrete surface before receiving the stamping tool, that can be pieced together much like a jigsaw, to ensure an even distribution of the desired pattern over the entire surface. The final step involves Increte’s Release Cleaner, used to remove any residual material or dirt before sealing the concrete with a coat of Clear Seal F1, followed by a coat of Clear Seal 50.
