To find the ideal solution for the third floor of the multi-storey car park that could withstand the damp environment and stand the test of time, Flowcrete Hong Kong was consulted.
To correctly prepare the substrate, 700 m2 of Deckshield EP primer was utilised, thanks to its suitability to damp cementitious substrates and ability to withstand relative humidity up to 95%.
Once cured, the solvent free, low VOC flexible polyurethane traffic coating system Deckshield ID was applied. As well as cosmetically enhancing multi-storey car parks, making them brighter and safer environments for all, this system from Flowcrete Hong Kong is also extremely durable, as well as slip resistant.
In addition to slip resistance, Deckshield ID’s excellent chemical resistance can further reduce damages and help to protect the car park surface from engine oil, battery acid, fuel, hydraulic fluid and similar substances.
The refurbishment was completed within the 20-day time frame specified by SISHK, and the newly resurfaced third floor was reopened.
