As with most high-rise buildings, along with Jakarta’s notoriously large population of vehicle and motorbike owners, there was an importance of having sufficient basement parking spaces available for the building’s occupants.
In order to protect the parking structure against the demands of regular vehicular traffic, it was important to select a coating system that would stand the test of time. Whilst this would be the first Deckshield project completed in Indonesia, Flowcrete was chosen to supply the project due to its long history of successful projects in the wider Asia region – particularly in Hong Kong where the developer of this project originated from.
30,000 m2 of Deckshield ID was installed in sleek Goosewing Grey for the parking bays, with Dark Grey chosen for the roadways and crisp white signage applied to clearly mark out the routes and zones. As well as brightening up the facility, Deckshield provides a safe environment to the PCPD site thanks to fire resistance properties and low slip potential.
The robust nature of Deckshield ID meant that the coating would maintain its high-end aesthetics despite the very heavy traffic that it would be exposed to on a daily basis.
