3812 Gallery, Hong Kong

3812 Gallery is a leading art gallery specialising in Chinese contemporary art and has spaces in Hong Kong and London. In 2018 it opened 3812 Gallery London, then following its 10^th anniversary in 2021, it opened a brand-new gallery in Hong Kong. Flowcrete’s Flowfresh system was selected for the flooring of its exhibition area.

The application started by installing over 200 m² of Isocrete K-Screed HDP 30mm, a semi-dry cementitious screed, across the concrete floor together with Polymer 70, a bonding agent and screed addictive.  Isocrete-K was chosen due to its quick-drying and fast-curing properties, as well as its high compressive strength and ability to create a level floor ideal for a resin finish.

Flowfresh MF was then applied to deliver a hard-wearing, anti-slip and easy to clean surface. Although the Flowfresh system is not commonly used in this market sector, the Client selected this system with the help of Tremco CPG’s technical team for its high abrasion resistance to withstand wear and tear, complete with a smooth and matte finish.

The installation took two months to complete, ready for the gallery’s opening in April 2021.
