Flowcrete Asia has delivered close to 30,000 square metres of its polyurethane traffic deck coating system to a new hotel development boasting state of the art business and leisure facilities within the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Well positioned in KL Sentral's newly developed business district, the Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral Hotel is ideal for travellers looking for quick access into the city centre. The adjoining multi-storey car parking facility has been designed to offer a welcoming impression of the hotel to visitors and vehicle owners with attractive interior colours, bright lighting and user friendly navigational markings and signage.

The client chose to install a variety of Flowcrete Asia's UV-stable deck coating material across all driveways, parking bays and ramps located on the basement and podium decks of the newly built facility.

Chosen for its significant performance advantages over epoxy alternatives, the colour-stable polyurethane systems, Deckshield ID and Deckshield ID VHTM, were commended by the client for their crack-bridging properties and ability to prevent any water ingress into the concrete substrate.

The Deckshield system is also a much more durable option than epoxy coatings and with correct care and maintenance can offer a lifespan in excess of 10 years.

Installed in a variety of bold and airy grey, red and yellow shades, the interior of the new parking structure also included 11,000 linear metres of Flowcrete's linemarking material, Deckshield UV linemarker.
