Following a recent upgrade of its facilities, the guesthouse was escalated from a 4 Star to a 5 Star hotel. In order to create a great first impression for their guests that was in keeping with its new luxury status, the hotel management knew that it needed to improve the quality and appearance of its multi-storey car park.
9,600 m2 of Flowcrete Asia’s epoxy traffic coating, Deckcoat EP, was installed to deliver an attractive and light reflective surface that would transform the dull and dark environment into a bright and vibrant space. Deckcoat EP not only turned the car park into a more presentable facility, but its hardwearing nature also protects the substrate against automotive chemicals, water ingress, fire and heavy impacts.
The parking bays, arrows and pedestrian walkways were marked out using Deckcoat EP in a complementary colour, ensuring that users can easily and safely navigate their way around the facility. To further enhance safety for the site’s users, the Deckcoat EP finish provides a slip resistant surface that minimises the risk of dangerous trips and falls.
To minimise disruption to the hotel’s day-to-business, Flowcrete’s approved applicators carried out the flooring renovation in phases over a period of three months to allow the car park to remain operational throughout the project.
