Pharmaceutical

A critical consideration in the design and construction of pharmaceutical facilities is the flooring used to protect the different operational areas. Pharmaceutical brands require floor and wall systems that meet the strict hygiene and safety standards of various regulatory institutions such as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Flowcrete offers a complete package of specialty epoxy, polyurethane, and vinyl ester resin floor and wall systems designed to cater for all areas within pharmaceutical facilities.

All of our flooring systems are compliant with the cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standard for the safe and sanitary design, construction and maintenance of pharmaceutical and medical research facilities.

Whether found in production suites, assembly lines or research and development laboratories, flooring materials must offer a wealth of performance characteristics including excellent abrasion, chemical and impact resistance, the ability to withstand extreme temperature swings and provide an easily cleaned, smooth and hygienic finish.

Two of Flowcrete’s epoxy-based floor and wall coating systems are now able to better demonstrate their suitability for use within cleanroom environments having qualified as Cleanroom Suitable Materials under the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IPA).

Both Flowshield SL - a colourful, high-gloss, self-levelling epoxy floor coating and Flowseal EPW Wall - a pigmented, hygienic epoxy based wall sealer have met the requirements of a number of cleanroom standards set out by the IPA in accordance with the CSM test parameters.
